Melissa Belanger: Sculptor and Doll Artist

Inspirations for Melissa's art dolls range from images of the 1920's and 30's, Vaudeville, film noir, and vintage toys.

Each figure is individually hand-sculpted of Paperclay without the use of molds, and attached to a cloth covered armature. They are then embellished with vintage fabrics, trims, and found objects. Most dolls are 16 -24 inches tall.

Recently, Melissa was taped for "Crafting Coast to Coast" on HGTV.  The segment will air on
October 22 at 10:00 a.m. and October 26, 10:30 p.m.
